“Minimum Wage” is not what runs through your mind when you set your eyes on this beautiful 1986 Buick Regal, Ltd. Cynthia Collazo is no stranger when it comes to lowriding. Originally from Chicago she has been in the lowrider scene since she was 13 years old. While in Chicago she owned Switch Happy Hydraulics and was hands on with all the modifications that came through the shop. In addition to being a business owner, she’s a mother and carried a full-time job as a legal assistant and continued to maintain the household. Cynthia states that she used to travel across states to go to shows, and she would always take her children with her. Her entire family is in the lowrider scene and even has a daughter who is a lowrider model. She got married in her car and now resides in Los Angeles with her husband who is with LA TIMES CC. In Chicago she was known for her 1963 station wagon Impala, she won King of the Streets single and double pump two years in a row. She’s owned several lowriders and hoppers throughout the years. She has also been on many videos, some take you back to the Truccha videos, Cali Swangin and Young Hogg days. Cynthia is truly inspired by her children this is what keeps her motivated. She has and continues to be very active in the lowrider community and is a huge animal advocate and heel lover. “Minimum Wage” has six batteries 3 pumps with a piston to the nose, wrapped all around, custom HOK paint with metajules, custom pinstriping, 13s to the ground, original interior. She also told us “We go everywhere with the car and she's quite the looker on the streets. Although she is a street car she is a true lady lowrider.” So, if you see “Minimum Wage” on the streets be sure to stop and say hello to Cynthia. She is a true inspiration to all Ladies.
